Accountant - Supporting Mexico Division

Duties/Responsibilities: Prepare Journal entries Reconciling and balancing G/L accounts, bank reconciliations Supporting internal and external tax teams with sales and income tax compliance Preparing financial statements Researching and correcting account discrepancies Supporting month-end and year-end close Assisting with audit fieldwork of external auditors and/or tax audits Coordinating with internal Billing team and external tax and billing advisors to support customer billing in full compliance with Mexican E-invoicing regulations. Prepare monthly VAT supporting documentation and coordinate with internal and external Tax teams to timely complete VAT returns. Prepare monthly and annual income tax supporting documentation and coordinating with internal and external Tax teams to timely complete income tax returns. Complete weekly statistical reporting requirements for Mexico's CRE agency Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to work with high volume data and information Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, other accounting software a plus Organized, neat with strong communication skills (written and verbal) Flexible approach to accomplishing goals Positive winning attitude Strong problem solving skills: situational awareness, options and recommendations Team oriented approach to problem solving Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various internal and external customers Attention to detail is imperative Education and Experience: BA in Accounting or Business 0-2 years related work experience. Some exposure and familiarity with ERP systems and tax preparation applications, Oracle and Dynamics A/X a plus. Spanish language fluency highly desired Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Add or subtract as needed
