What You Will Do As a pivotal member of the finance team, you will be tasked with overseeing month-end activities and ongoing inventory management, completing regular weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting, and supporting the budgeting and forecasting cycles, for 5 operating companies within Central and Western Washington. You will perform and assist with a wide variety of tasks including job costing for heavy civil construction projects, analyzing equipment costs and verifying rates, and validating, analyzing, and adjusting inventory counts. Each day will provide you with new problems to solve, and you will be empowered to find new and creative solutions.

Location: This is an in-person position based out of our office in Wapato.

What You Can Do (Minimum Qualifications) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Minimum Required Qualifications: Demonstrated understanding of general accounting principles, policies, and procedures. Strong Excel skills to include familiarity with complex functions, and the ability to use Excel to consolidate, organize, and analyze data exports from multiple systems or formats. Excellent organizational, project management, interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating the ability to build strong relationships, and influence key stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated ability to manage and complete complex tasks. Strong values and high standards of ethics, integrity, and trust Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient use of PC programs, the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), and knowledgeable in using computerized accounting systems. A current authorization to work in the United States and the ability to pass pre-employment controlled-substance testing. Per RCW 49.44.240 this position has been identified by the employer as non-safety sensitive and will be subject to an employer-required pre-employment drug screening that does not include testing for nonpsychoactive cannabis metabolites Preferred Requirements: While a familiarity with these skills or experiences would be beneficial in this role, they are not required. Experience in construction accounting, with a focus on prevailing wages and inventory management, is highly desirable. Prior construction, equipment, or manufacturing accounting experience, or familiarity with accounting procedures and principles as they relate to prevailing wages, inventory counts, etc. Prior experience working with pre-written SQL Queries or Macros, or the ability to write SQL Queries or Macros. Prior experience working for a large, complex, and/or publically traded company. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Part of team responsible for accounting of the day-to-day operations of Columbia Basin and ICON Materials. Weekly Production Entries Energy postings Product setups for Pacific Northwest Code monthly AP Bills Job Cost research Inventory management and adjustments. Update Tier Pricing Files Royalty Entries and Reporting Contract Clearance information gathering Backup for Weekly units' submittal Responsible for assigned month end journal entries, monthly and quarterly reconciliations, and inventory accounting. Introduction and eventually responsibility for aspects of the operational and transaction monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes. Exposure to monthly and annual variance analysis of operational statistics/volumes, as well as cash flow, DSO, DPO, and other items as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
