Position SummaryOne temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Politics and Public Administration.Start DatePosition available on or after August 21, 2023 and ending on or before May 31, 2024. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.Job Description/DutiesDuties include but are not limited to:Provide research assistance through locating data, data entry, and coding.Conducting literature reviews of scholarly research.Assist as needed with ongoing services including designing infographics, creating research materials, and/or creating website content public education items and written narratives.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:Majoring in Political Science, Ethnic Studies, History, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Social Sciences, Education and Liberal Studies, or related field, and is pursuing a career in Political Science, Law, Public Service, Community Engagement, Development, Social Services, History, Education, Research and Analysis, or Communications.Interest in, and knowledge of, quantitative or qualitative research, data collection or analysis.Ability to use programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., and is familiar with social media platforms including Twitter and Facebook.Demonstrates respect and compassion for participants, collaborators, and colleagues.Is dependable and follows through on assignments.Requests and is receptive to feedback.Required Qualifications:Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.Must be eligible for LAEP and have received a LAEP award.Salary Range$15.50 per hour How to ApplyTo be considered, qualified candidates must submit a completed Stanislaus State online employment application, cover letter, and resumé.
