We look forward to hearing from you.Hatch seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its Structural team in Columbus, OH. The Structural Engineer participates in a wide range of projects covering civil foundations and structural steel design. Activities include site investigation and civil/structural steel finite element modeling for both front end planning and the detailed engineering phase for multi-discipline projects.Position reports to the Regional Manager - Structural.Primary Responsibilities:Performs specific engineering studies, engineering calculations, and other design analyses using industry softwareEvaluates the work of technical staff and provides feedback based on client needs and approve the discipline and layout design criteria documentsEstablishes budgets, cost estimates and project schedules related to structural engineering scopeLeads in the development of technical documentation, specification, drawings, requisitions, proposals, and presentation to clientsAssist in the preparation and development of project specific proceduresQualifications and Experience:Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural engineering from an accredited universityProfessional Engineer, P.E. License is requiredMinimum 10-15 years of experienceBroad knowledge of applying structural engineering practices to plant constructability, construction methods and materialsProficient with building and design codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC etc) and the use of Staad Pro or similar structural analysis softwareExperience with 2D and 3D CADD applications, such as MicroStation or AutoCADMust demonstrate strong problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issuesAbility to lead and work with engineering staff at all levelsMust have multidisciplinary engineering knowledgeMust demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environmentMust have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to convey project technical information to project managers, clients and peersMust demonstrate organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, take direction, and provide direction to others ensuring the quality of deliverablesStrong computer knowledge is required including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Excellent safety awarenessWillingness to be a part of a global engineering company and to collaborate with teams in other offices around the worldWhy join us?Work with great people to make a differenceCollaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutionsTop employer What we offer you?Flexible work environmentLong term career developmentThink globally, work locallyDon't meet every single requirement?
