Responsibilities Perform Structural Engineering for projects within the Mid-Atlantic region that requires the following;
Perform field inspections as a team leader to evaluate existing conditions, documents findings and record measurements in the field Develop inspection reports, inspection field sketches in CAD, photo appendices and inspection finding recommendations Operate inspection equipment (underbridge inspection vehicles, bucket trucks, access lifts etc) Prepare detailed plans for new and rehabilitation bridge designs Perform engineering design calculations Develop contract specifications, construction cost estimates and preparation of contract bid documents Requirements B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Concentration is preferred 3-5 years of experience in transportation projects for State Agencies in the Mid-Atlantic region preferred (MD, DE, DC, VA) FHWA/NHI Bridge Inspection Certification Previous bridge, culvert, ancillary highway structures, and/or tunnel inspection experience Experience with FHWA Inventory and Element Level data collection OSHA, SPRAT or equivalent training a plus Experience with current AASHTO design specifications, design procedures, bridge standards and details, and structural computer models Ability to develop CAD drawings in Microstation and AutoCAD Good project management, technical writing and communication skills Benefits We offer a professional work environment, competitive salary, benefits package, and 401(k).
