Endeavor Schools has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Staff Accountant ! The Staff Accountant will manage all full-cycle accounting duties but to also take an interest in, and ultimately understand, the bigger picture. This is a full-time position working out of our Miami, FL office.
Essential Tasks: Create and post journal entries and prepare necessary supporting documentation Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations, propose adjusting journal entries and submit them for Corporate Controller's review General ledger accounting and mapping of fixed assets Ensure Financial Statements are produced in a timely and accurate manner, including adherence to general accounting principles (GAAP) Serve as liaison between schools and accounting department Special projects, as necessary Experience and Education: At least 2 years' experience in corporate accounting and/or in a public accounting firm required Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP and research skills Analytical and problem-solving skills Experience in NetSuite, ProCare and/or bill.com is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Solid written and verbal communication, organizational and planning skills Ability to manage multiple, diverse projects and personnel concurrently Disclaimer: This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an employee in this position may be asked to perform.
