This role will be pivotal in enabling Moderna's patients to receive our mRNA medicines (beyond COVID vaccines, including our individualized neoantigen therapy, previously known as Cancer Vaccine).As a member of the UX team with significant growth potential, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior UX Designer. In this role, you'll lead the definition, design, and delivery of multiple products across various organizations. You will have the opportunity to grow into a design leader, set up aspects of the product design process, and build best practices. Carry out research to develop user insights, and use these insights, along with business requirements and technical constraints, to inform your design decisions.Lead the discovery and strategic phases of a project. Proactively identify opportunities and define product vision and roadmaps.Champion user-centered design in your day-to-day design decisions and collaborations. Evangelize design thinking and process with cross-functional teams.Adopt experimental and data-driven approaches: build lightweight prototypes for user testing, seek user feedback, and use data to inform your design decisions.Bring best practices and process improvement to the design team.Create, contribute, and adopt design systems and guidelines to promote a unified design language across products and platforms.Here's What You'll Need (Minimum Qualifications)Bachelor and a Graduate degree or comparable professional experience in design, HCI or relevant disciplinesA minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Product/UX/Service Design roles.Deep knowledge and experience in building Figma Design Libraries.Experience planning and executing effective user research, solo, or in partnership with a User Researcher.Strong aptitude in design, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the user-centered design process.Exceptional problem-solving abilities and solid design instincts.An online portfolio showcasing your work on released products of similar scale and complexity to this role.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Here's What You'll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)A track record of creating new products, solving new problems, or bringing novel ideas to the table.Comfort navigating ambiguity, taking strategic risks, and moving fast.A desire to make an impact as part of a high-growth, transformational company that is Bold, Relentless, Curious, and Collaborative.Under Washington State law, Moderna is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for the jobs covered by this description. Base compensation for these positions in Washington State range from $158,000 to $284,500 ?. Actual salary determinations will take into account factors such as work location, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills.
