Senior Estimator- Electrical Construction

The Senior Estimator role involves various key responsibilities, which are listed below:
1. Analyzing construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents comprehensively. This helps in determining the scope of work and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
2. Developing comprehensive cost estimates that meet project goals and budgets. This includes materials, equipment, labor, and subcontractor pricing.
3. Collaborating with the estimating team, project managers, and other stakeholders to optimize the estimating process and ensure the accuracy of cost projections.
4. Soliciting and evaluating bids from subcontractors and vendors, negotiating favorable terms, and managing the pre-qualification and pre-bid submission process.
5. Preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and production cost estimates, and reviewing prices with the estimating team.
6. Attending project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews as required.
7. Maintaining and updating the subcontractor database and prequalification records.
8. Developing strong relationships with customers, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to support the company's core values and exceed customer expectations.
Qualifications
1. The applicant must have 5-10 years of experience in commercial electrical construction.
2. Knowledge of estimating software such as OnScreen Takeoff and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are required.
3. Prior experience as a Project Manager is necessary.
