Project Engineer
A leading contractor renowned for excellence in drywall, metal framing, and acoustical ceilings is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join a dynamic team! This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for construction and a drive for success.
Job Type: Full-time, Office-based with occasional local travel
Responsibilities:
* Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently and meet quality standards.
* Design Review: Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential issues and propose solutions.
* Material Procurement: Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.
* Subcontractor Management: Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met and quality standards are maintained.
* Budget Monitoring: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
* Document Control: Maintain accurate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
* Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to ensure workmanship and materials meet project specifications and industry standards.
* Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
* Client Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers to address project concerns, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Progress Reporting: Generate progress reports and presentations for project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions.
* Field Support: Provide technical support to field teams as needed, resolving construction-related issues and facilitating problem-solving.
* Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and contribute to the enhancement of company processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
* Previous experience in construction project management or engineering, preferably in drywall, metal framing, or acoustical ceilings.
* Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and safety standards.
* Willingness to occasionally travel to local project sites as required.
