Summary
The Plant Manager will oversee all facets of plant operations, ensuring worker safety and meeting production targets while upholding top-tier standards in quality, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency. This role involves establishing and upholding equitable policies and procedures. Upholding values of safety, quality, and employee relations, the Plant Manager will prioritize the development and supervision of production staff, with a particular emphasis on cultivating future leaders. The ideal candidate will have experience in complex production scheduling, leading skilled labor, and technical competency with sophisticated ERP systems and bolt-on applications.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee daily plant operations, ensuring smooth coordination.
Coordinate production schedules and material requirements in collaboration with Purchasing, Project Management, Installation, and Order Entry teams.
Collaborate with the Maintenance Department to schedule machinery maintenance, minimizing disruptions and ensuring continuous plant functionality.
Recruit, train, develop, and mentor both direct and indirect staff members.
Additional responsibilities encompass plant safety, creating work schedules, implementing process enhancements, and conducting inspections.
Lead production teams in achieving year-over-year improvements.
Demonstrate adeptness in collaborative work across departments, utilizing information for timely production and cost-saving decisions.
Possess comprehensive proficiency in MS Office suite and ERP systems, preferably Syteline.
Essential knowledge of payroll, budgeting, and accounting principles.
