Responsibilities
• Welcome patients and visitors, answer inquiries, and refer questions to staff• Provide excellent customer service through timely responses to voicemails and portal messages• Schedule appointments to optimize patient satisfaction and provider time• Review daily schedules to ensure accuracy and prepare for patient visits• Ensure insurance verification and obtain prior authorization as needed• Accurate data entry into EMR system• Retrieve and send patient records following HIPAA guidelines• Record and update financial information, collect patient charges• Maintain reception area in a neat and orderly condition• Assist patients with insurance and billing questions• Complete disability forms in a timely manner• Participate in medical office emergency routine when required• Serve as a liaison between Hospitals, Patients, and Providers• Maintain professional and positive team relationships• Follow policies and procedures for operations• Other duties as assigned by Team Lead
Requirements
• Personality and demeanor to deal with the public and assist patients• Excellent customer service skills• Good organizational skills• Adaptable to technology• Excellent communication skills• Basic computer skills• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products• Self-motivated• High school graduate or equivalent• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds• Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work
