Part-Time Staff Accountant

A non-profit in Anderson is seeking an experienced candidate for a part-time hybrid Staff Accountant role.  The ideal candidate will be willing to work a very flexible schedule, have a strong understanding of accounting policies and procedures, and ideally have experience in non-profit.
Responsibilities: Keep accurate records of finances: AP, AR, bank reconciliation, investments, credit card processing, payroll and payroll taxes Review bank accounts daily Record monthly journal entries Prepare monthly financial statements Assist in budget preparation for grant opportunities Responsible for providing records/information during annual audit Maintain all records in chronological order in preparation of annual 990 Cross-train with Operations Director for HR compliance when needed Assist in fundraisers outside of regularly scheduled hours Other duties as assigned by Executive Director Qualifications:Associates or Bachelors Degree in Accounting requiredAttention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality Proficiency of QuickBooks Online Understand and adhere to donor and client confidentiality standards Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of Accounting standards using generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Compensation:$25/hrSchedule:25 hours/weekOnsite once a week for meetings with teamRemote for all other work
