Full job description What you will do
The Demand Planning Manager will lead the forecasting process, integrating market and customer data to develop and communicate an accurate forecast to supply chain and finance organizations. Lead team of demand planners to improve accuracy of forecast leveraging all available data sources and latest demand planning tools.
How you will do it
Own the Demand Planning Process: Accountable for producing a fact-based unbiased 24 month rolling forecast which are the basis for LE's (Latest Estimates) and financial projections. Ensure the integrity of these forecasts and the timely hand-off to supply planning. Manage & Maintain Forecast Models and Tools: Continually improve statistical forecasting models and methodology for both mature and new product launches. Accountable for Forecast Accuracy improvement. Future Roadmap/Vision Development: Partner with the analytics and IT teams in defining future forecast improvements via machine learning / artificial intelligence capabilities. Conduct Consensus Process: Lead the Demand process through interface with Sales, Marketing, Planning & Finance to ensure timely development of an agreed upon forecast which ties to financial projections. Collaboration with Key Accounts: Lead the monthly forecast collaboration meetings with key account Managers and Analyst from the Account. Review prior month's forecast accuracy and assess rolling 3-6 months forward forecast. Communication with Planning: Communicate demand gaps and significant forecast changes to Supply Planning. Determine course of action to bridge gaps and communicate back to Marketing/Sales. Manage Supply Chain KPI and share ownership with supply chain partners. Monthly Analytics and KPIs: Develop and implement tools and processes to improve forecast capabilities, efficiency and accuracy. Perform root cause analysis. Articulate Risk & Opportunity assessment to tie into Latest Estimates. Management/Team Leadership: Lead the demand planning team members. Train, coach, and mentor staff with the goal of increasing team capabilities. What we look for

Communication Skills: Exemplary oral and written communication skills. Collaboration: Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field (Supply Chain Management/Operations/Logistics, Business, Math/Statistics, Marketing) 8 plus years' experience in a demand planning/forecasting role – valuable to have automotive experience Demonstrated experience implementing state-of-the-art demand forecasting methodologies and systems Exceptional computer skills; ERP, Business Intelligence systems or equivalent and Word, Excel, PowerPoint Certification from Institute of Business Forecasting (IBF), APICS or similar credential – preferred Preferred: prior experience with leading forecasting/DP tools like Logility, SAS, JDA Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic) This position will be hybrid, working out of Clarios' Glendale, Wisconsin corporate headquarters Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
