Responsibilities:
Providing supervision as required for event staff and volunteers   Planning and managing events which includes contract negotiations, research, scheduling, coordination of publicity, catering, security, staging, creating displays, visual aids, organizing time tables and files   Budgeting and financial management of Corporate Special Events   Specific management duties include staffing, evaluations, daily routines, assignment and monitoring of projects and project counseling   Work closely with the KHN CEO in the planning phase of events   Manage event schedule s and project delivery elements in a timely manner   Work closely with clients, customers, executives, and staff to ensure event satisfaction   Conduct research, gather information, and negotiate contracts with event vendors   Propose ideas to improve services and event quality    Provide guest lists in a timely manner   Extend event invitations and create calendar events   Make nametags and create guest lists   Work closely in event planning with CEO extended family when events are being held in a home   Assist with HR Recruiting events for the network   Reserve event space reservations at various locations   Manage various contracts and invoices   Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations   Manage Cater er/Chef and work closely with them on all events   Specify staff requirements and coordinate their activities   Work closely with marketing and other teams to promote events   Handle arising issues and troubleshoot problems with patience and professionalism   Use excellent time management and communication skills   Must be available on nights and weekends regularly   Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business or a minimum of ten years Corporate Special Event experience including supervisory responsibilities. A certified meeting professional (CMP) is preferred   Proven experience as an Event Planner or Event Organizer  Must have a current driver's license and reliable vehicle
