Investment Accountant

Job summary
Provide general back-office investment and accounting supportPrepare daily investment positions and trade settlementsAssist with month-end close process and accounts payable

Responsibilities
• Create morning investment and borrowing positions for portfolio managers• Perform daily trade settlements with custodian banks• Prepare wire transfers and accounts payable• Assist in the month-end close process and reconciliations• Assist with cash reconciliations and expense analysis• Maintain files and assist with office administration duties• Assist with preparation of annual tax package• Assist with providing information for auditors• Serve as back-up for other associates• Update share repurchase database• Perform other duties and special projects as requested
Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance required• 2-4 years of experience in progressive accounting and finance• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS applications• Strong internal controls mindset and attention to detail• Outstanding organizational and time management skills• High degree of professionalism and accountability• Strong communication skills• Knowledge of investment accounting systems and general ledger software desired
