Responsibilities
• Washing, scrubbing, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming various areas• Cleaning patient rooms, treatment/exam rooms, and bathrooms• Servicing and cleaning staff areas, offices, corridors, etc.• Properly handling chemicals and using personal protective equipment• Disposing of linen and trash, cleaning and disinfecting beds• Organizing areas, maintaining supplies, and reporting equipment issues• Training employees and keeping department head informed• Maintaining equipment and participating in waste removal• Cross-training and working in Linen Distribution as needed• Using time efficiently and following management's assignments
Requirements
• Ability to learn and carry out routine duties and assignments• Capability to push and pull carts• Knowledge of Universal Precautions, OSHA standards, and safety protocols• Understanding of good body mechanics to avoid injury• Clear exchange of information in English, both verbal and written• High school graduate or equivalent preferred• Previous experience is a plus
