Full job description We are in search of a Production Artist/Graphic Designer for a local manufacture in Manitowoc. This person plays a crucial role in the design process, utilizing skills in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign as well as other software to prepare logos for production. Responsibilities will include designing, refining logos, ensuring font consistency, and providing support to customers through online chat platforms. The position also assists with the setup of UV printers, laser engravers and other production equipment to produce the product as well as assembly and other tasks as needed.
Essential Duties:
Design: Collaborate with the customer and co-workers to help to create visually appealing product for various clients and industries. Logo Cleanup: Utilize software to clean up and enhance logos provided by clients, ensuring optimal print quality. Font Matching: Maintain consistency in font usage across products, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and client preferences. Customer Support: Assist customers via online chat platforms, answering inquiries, providing design guidance, and offering solutions to ensure their satisfaction. File Preparation: Prepare design files for production, including setting up print-ready files with proper specifications and color profiles. Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to ensure seamless transition from design to manufacturing, addressing any design-related issues that may arise. Teamwork: Build a positive environment by listening and communicating with all associates. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00a-3:30p
Requirements:
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign is essential and experience with CorelDraw helpful. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively. A collaborative mindset with a willingness to work closely with cross-functional teams. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrate ability to organize vast amounts of data; demonstrate ability to multi-task several priorities and possess solid time management skills. Associate or Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in Graphic Design.
