Goldstrike - Open Pit Tire Technician

Position Description:Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an Open Pit Tire Technician to join our Maintenance Team at Goldstrike.Responsibilities:Maintain all tires on mine equipment, including passenger light vehicles and all off road vehiclesMaintaining correct air pressures and tread depthsInspecting and removing worn or failed tires and installing replacement tiresRepairing all repairable tiresComplete routine maintenance activities for the purpose of ensuring the availability and safe functioning of large mining, support equipment fleetsMaintain shop areas, tools, and service vehicles to ensure a clean and safe work environmentPerform daily pre-shift work inspections and participate in individual and group hazard identification processesPerform other duties as assigned Qualifications:Two (2) plus years of experience in maintenance of mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military or support equipmentpreferredBasic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumaticsrequiredAbility to work safely and effectively with minimal supervisionrequiredAbility to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of peoplerequiredExperience handling tirespreferredAbility to accomplish strenuous physical labor under all weather conditionsrequiredLift at least 50 lbs.requiredProven safe work record with belief and value seen in courageous leadership modelrequiredAbility to be an initial team member in a growing, fast paced environment, and support team in attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection and production goals with a proven safety recordrequiredHousekeeping standards are maintained to a high levelrequiredGood written and verbal communication skillsrequired#LI-TC1Job Identification226478Posting Date2024-04-23Job ScheduleFull timeJob CategoryMaintenanceLocationsCarlin, NV, United States
