Job Summary This position is eligible for a hybrid work scheduled after six months. This will include telework days and in office days at a DLI office building.
This position will provide a variety of direct customer service and administrative support for the Licensing and Certification Services unit, Construction Codes and Licensing Division (CCLD) by applying an advanced knowledge of and analysis skills in the more complex licensing and certification laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to customers. The incumbent will work with continuing education sponsors and subject matter experts to review/approve continuing education courses. This position has significant focus on providing resources to customers by assisting in analyzing licensing requirements, qualifications, conducting research to approve/deny licensing requests, exam status and provide other licensing information upon request. Additionally, the incumbent will assist with the processing of large volumes of applications and renewal for licenses issued by the Department. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to a variety of customers in person, on the phone, and through e-mail and other written correspondence.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external customers and to read, explain and interpret a variety of materials to exam candidates.
Math skills sufficient to perform basic calculations and assure proper fees are paid.
Data entry skills sufficient to read source documents and enter data in database and to compile, sort and verify data accuracy before entering it.
Database management skills sufficient to enter and retrieve data and run daily reports to verify data for completeness, accuracy and discrepancies.
Preferred Qualifications Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with a wide range of backgrounds, who do not share your same culture, ethnicity, language, or other common experiences.
Language skills other than English (such as Somali, Spanish, Hmong, Karen or ASL).
