Delta Dental of Missouri is seeking a Customer Service Representative in St. Louis, Missouri. The Customer Service Representative provides assistance to dental offices, subscribers and group contacts via written and verbal communication. This position investigates and resolves problems and communicates benefit information as requested-taking whatever steps necessary to resolve inquiry.
Responsibilities • Responds to customer inquiries (written, verbal and electronic) regarding benefits, participating doctors and eligibility.
• Analyze claim problems and take appropriate action to ensure that the proper claim payment is made. Provide necessary follow-up and initiate correspondence.
• Keep informed of benefit changes, new group enrollment and group terminations.
• Actively seek refunds (collection) when necessary.
Education, Skills, Personal Attributes, and Experience Required • High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate PC and calculator to compute claim benefits. Ability to data-enter information via PC keyboard.
• Three years dental industry experience required.
• Two years of call center and/or insurance industry experience preferred.
• Must have comprehensive understanding of various screens and transactions utilized in claims processing, eligibility functions, benefit programs and provider information; including a thorough understanding of dental procedures and benefit determination.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal are required. Constant communication with the public and internal departments. Speaking voice must be clear and articulate.
