Job Title : Commercial Kitchen Repair Technician FLSA Exemption Status : Non-Exempt Classification Group : Staff Support Supervising Position : FNS Equipment Supervisor Pay Plan : Educational Support Personnel Pay Range : Range 12 Last Updated : 3/6/2024 Pay Information Benefits Information JOB SUMMARY : The FNS Commercial Kitchen Repair Technician is responsible for repair and preventative maintenance of all Food and Nutrition Services commercial food service equipment districtwide in conjunction and collaboration with contracted repair vendors. This position handles all urgent and emergency issues to ensure kitchen staff can prepare and provide equal access to meals districtwide. This position is responsible for effectively communicating and developing positive relationships with kitchen staff, SNC Staff, community and school staff members. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. Responsible for the repair, preventative maintenance, and recommendation for replacement of the Food and Nutrition Services commercial equipment including but not limited to ice machines, dishwashers, ovens, reach-in warmers and coolers, steamers, serving lines, tilt skillets, milk coolers, 2 burners, and washer/dryer units. Daily 40%

Observe and support manufactures warranties. Daily 20%

Maintain stock of replacement parts. Daily 10%
4.
Communicate with equipment manufacturer for proper repair methods. Daily 5%
5.
Attend equipment training and updates when needed or requested. Daily 5%
6.
Complete work orders and requests as assigned in a timely fashion and maintain daily work log. Daily 5%
7.
Communicate status of repairs to kitchen management and supervisor timely. Daily 5%
8.
Maintain vehicle and work areas in clean and neat condition at all times. Daily 5%

Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.
Criminal background check and fingerprinting required High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma Three (3) years in commercial kitchen equipment repair Must have a valid Colorado driver's license. Must meet District insurability standards. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS : The physical demands, mental functions, cognitive capacities, and work environment factors required to perform a position's essential functions. Medium work strength level (lifting or carrying 50 pounds) Primarily works indoors Typically a loud noise level Work location is subject to change to meet the requirements of the organization Ability to perform bending, reaching, squatting, pushing, pulling and climbing. Ability to perform prolonged standing/walking. Ability to work overhead with various vertical heights and repetitive motions. Possesses eye/hand coordination (hand tools and machinery used daily). Ability to concentrate visually on equipment. Ability to work with others. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other qualifications relevant to the position that are strongly preferred but not mandatory for a candidate to be considered.
