Responsibilities
• Review and analyze routine first party homeowner's claims• Determine extent of insurance carrier's liability and recommend settlement amounts• Conclude claims with policyholders in accordance with policy provisions and applicable insurance statutes and laws• Conduct claim investigation and direct assigned resources• Obtain physical evidence, develop third party information and theory of liability, conduct recorded interviews, and secure official records• Recognize and submit subrogation, underwriting, and SIU referrals as necessary• Maintain file documentation, file notes, and investigation documentation• Review policy, adjusters' reports, damage estimates, expert reports, and other documentation• Make appropriate coverage and loss decisions to conclude assigned claims• Provide prompt service to policyholders utilizing phone, fax, mail, and electronic mail
Requirements
• College degree or equivalent professional education and experience• Minimum of 2 years related property adjusting experience• Successful completion of more advanced level claims training courses and/or insurance industry courses• Insurance adjusters license State of Florida (520 license)
