Our state-of-the-art Sweets Bakery located in La Crosse, WI produces over 60 varieties of sweet good and bread products for approximately 800 retail stores. Kwik Trip customers are able to enjoy everything from mouth-watering muffins, turnovers, bagels, cookies, to our famous Glazers.
Join our overnight Bakery Sanitation Crew and learn the skills necessary to keep our fast-paced, high volume Bakery up to our high standards. In this role, you will perform the following tasks:
Disassemble and assemble industrial bakery equipment Complete cleaning and sanitizing of industrial bakery equipment Properly dispense, concentrate and titrate chemicals Operate trash compactors Work on ladders and scissor lifts Complete general cleaning and sanitizing of the bakery area and all other duties as assigned Work Schedules: Sunday through Saturday with rotating days off working 6:30pm to 4:30am Monday through Friday working 7:00pm to 3:00am Monday through Friday and every 3rd Saturday working 8:00pm to 4:00am (hours during training period are 5:00pm to 1:00am) Sunday through Thursday and every 3rd Saturday working 8:00pm to 4:00am (hours during training period are 5:00pm to 1:00am) Qualifications: Accurate/detail oriented; adhere to sanitation/hygiene standards; willing to learn/perform variety of job tasks; work in a fast paced production environment; work in a noisy environment frequently; work well alone/with others; work with minimal supervision; basic math aptitude; read/follow cleaning labels/instructions; work in a safety conscious environment.
Prior sanitation/janitorial experience is a plus. Physical qualifications: lift/carry 15 pounds to 72 inches occasionally; push/pull up to 87 pounds of force occasionally; work in temperatures of 70-90+ degrees F; bend/reach/twist constantly; lift/carry 50 pounds to 60 inches frequently; stand/walk up to 10 hours per shift; kneel/squat occasionally.
Benefits: Starting rate of pay is $18.00 per hour plus additional overnight premium pay of $2.00 per hour Weekend Premium Pay: additional $3.00 an hour between the hours of 7:30pm Friday and 5:00am Monday A year end cash bonus - 40% of profits shared with our coworkers 2 Weeks Vacation within 1st year of employment
