Apex Legends is looking for an Associate Technical Experience Designer to join us in expanding the Apex Universe at our growing location in Madison, Wisconsin. Reporting to the Lead Technical Experience Designer, you will work in a team to help prototype, implement and debug player-facing UI features in Apex Legends.
Responsibilities: Collaborate with the UI team to help implement player-facing features that align with gameplay goals and accessibility standards Write functional UI script that aligns with technical best practices Work with UX designers and UI artists to stand up prototypes and implement pixel-perfect layout and animation Refine features based on feedback, design requirements, and creative direction Work with producers and directors to help estimate and prioritize work Requirements: Some experience with scripting languages (such as Lua, Python, JavaScript, or similar) Experience with UI/UX An eye for polish A collaborative and inclusive attitude with the ability to listen, ask questions, and learn An understanding of UX principles, layout, motion, and visual fidelity Nice To Have: Game development experience Utilize C++ Experience with large code bases Experience with UI frameworks: UMG, Unity UI, Coherent, Scaleform, ImGui, WPF, Qt Experience working in a multiplayer live service environment Experience with accessibility and developing inclusive player experiences If all this excites you, then we want to talk to you.
