Job Summary: Application Engineer Level 1 provides comprehensive technical support to customers and acts as a key liaison between customers and the company by providing practical solutions to their hole-making needs.
This is a non-remote position, and is required to work in our Dover, Ohio location. Requirements Duties/Responsibilities: Offer technical assistance to customers, addressing inquiries, and providing guidance on product usage. Recommend and customize products or services to meet unique customer requirements. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, working to find effective and timely solutions. Collaborate with sales teams, product development, and other departments to enhance customer support. Maintain detailed documentation of customer interactions, configurations, and technical support provided. Provide training to customers on product usage, ensuring effective and informed use. Perform other related duties as assigned. Skills/Abilities: Strong technical aptitude with in-depth knowledge of the company's products and their applications. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with customers and internal teams. Problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Collaboration and teamwork, working closely with different departments to address customer needs. Presentation skills for conducting technical presentations and demonstrations. Detail-oriented with the ability to document customer interactions and product configurations. Continuous learning mindset to stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies. Education/Experience: Associate degree in engineering or a related field (bachelor's degree preferred). Understanding of manufacturing and measurement processes. Physical Requirements: Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site visits. Ability to lift up to 32 pounds unassisted.
