Required License/Registration/Certification: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certification or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C)
Physical Requirements: lifting up to 25 pounds, standing for extended periods of time
Shift: Monday – Friday, days
Job Summary: The APP Orthopedic Surgical First Assistant (APP) works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team and functions as a member of the Orthopedic Trauma Services.This requires management of all aspects of patients from admission to discharge. The APP will have a dynamic schedule in all care settings: both supporting and independent clinics, assisting in the operating room and managing consults on the inpatient setting. The APP has a strong foundation in evidenced based practice and education and ensuring an environment of safe quality care.
