Bowhead seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our Finance department at our corporate headquarters in Springfield, VA. The successful candidate will provide support in our Accounts Payable department and possess the ability to multi-task, work efficiently under pressure, meet all deadlines and be a strong team player. The ability to work overtime, if needed is required. An in-office initial training period of 5 days a week will be required until the employee is up and running on their own, which will be determined by the manager. Following the initial training period, the schedule will change to the current company hybrid work schedule, two days in the office and three remote, which is subject to change according to business needs or contractual obligations at management's discretion.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Processing Accounts Payable for multiple companies, with attention to detail
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, as a team player, with the ability to problem solve
• Ability to process a high volume of invoices in Costpoint, accurately and efficiently; understand what you're inputting and if necessary, asking questions
• Perform work in accordance with GAAP and Federal Acquisition Regulations
• Reconciliation of AP GL responsibilities; prepaid and deposit accounts
• Other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and 15+ years of relevant professional experience or 20+ years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in a supervisory role
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
• General knowledge of government contracting and Federal Acquisition Regulations
• Ability to adapt and multi-task, managing and process from multiple mailboxes
