QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree required. Prefer a minimum three years of payroll/accounts payable experience with a multi-state organization. At least one year healthcare experience is preferred. Payroll, accounts payable, accounting, computer, and analytical ability are required. Good communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with staff and public.
REPORT TO: Chief Financial Officer
Knowledge and Competency: Must demonstrate basic knowledge of all procedures within the Accounting/Finance Department. Must have the ability to follow instructions from the Chief Financial Officer and other professional staff. Ability to communicate effectively with managers and coworkers. Maintains confidentiality of information relating to payroll and financial matters. Will discuss only those aspects necessary to care out assigned duties. Must possess or acquire technical ability to complete all daily functions of the Accounting/ Finance department.
JOB DUTIES (includes but not limited to the following): Assume direct responsibility for all payroll functions (excluding Executive payroll). Assist in processing of vendor invoices. Assists/be responsible for the implementation of special projects as defined by management. Communicate effectively with all levels of other employees on technical accounting issues. Become knowledgeable of all local, state and federal tax requirements of the accounting/ finance department. Physical Demands : Must be able to complete all physical demands of the job, which may include, but not be limited to: the ability to lift and transfer patients, carry supplies, and read normal typewritten print. Have corrected vision and hearing within normal range and have manual dexterity with normal range of motion of all extremities.
