X-Ray Tech

Duties and Responsibilities: X-Ray and Lab Technician Radiology Duties: • Perform diagnostic x-ray exams in accordance with provider orders and state/federal regulations. • Ensure proper patient positioning, shielding, and radiation safety protocols. • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, reporting any malfunc;tions promptly. • Accurately document procedures and upload images into the electronic medical record (EMR) system. • Prepare patients for radiographic procedures by explaining the process and answering questions. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the radiology suite. Laboratory Duties: • Collect blood, urine, and other lab specimens using proper techniques and safety procedures. • Perform CUA-waived point-of-care testing as ordered by providers. • Label, process, and prepare specimens for transport to reference laboratories. • Maintain lab inventory, restock supplies, and ensure lab cleanliness and compliance with safety standards. • Document all lab work accurately within the EMR system. General Clinical Support: • Assist clinical staff with patient intake, vital signs, and rooming as needed. • Communicate abnormal lab or imaging findings to providers promptly. • Follow all infection control and HIPAA guidelines during clinical activities. • Participate in quality control and quality assurance efforts within both radiology and lab functions. • Cross-train in other support roles and assist in other clinical tasks as assigned.Job posted for the employer by: Workforce Connections, Arkansas Department of Commerce.
