The role You will lead the entire Finance function and report directly to the CEO.
Your mandate is to influence resource allocation, manage liquidity, build and maintain a strong control and reporting environment, and evaluate investment opportunities, including potential M&A, to support a targeted liquidity event within 24 months.
You will own FP&A and statutory reporting, oversee accounting, tax, and legal, and partner with Operations on HR (payroll and benefits).
A robust integrated financial model is one of the key tools you will maintain to drive these outcomes.
Key responsibilities Build, maintain, and improve the company's integrated financial modelLead the accounting team, ensuring proper execution of functional tasks and controlsManage cash, tax, audit, and banking relationshipsPrimary point of contact for the board and investor community on finance-related mattersOversee legal matters and coordinate external counselCoach a senior accountant and help shape future Finance headcountPartner with Ops on HR processes (payroll, benefits) and cross-team initiativesMust-have qualifications Proven ability to design and build complex financial models yourselfSenior FP&A or Finance leadership experience in a high-growth startup with US operationsStrong IFRS knowledgeMultiple years of operational experience in a SaaS organizationExperience in quality checking the month-end close and familiarity with inventory or hardware costsClear communicator who can hold the room with investors and board membersAt least five hours overlap with US time zones; fluent EnglishNice-to-have experience Exposure to liquidity events (M&A, secondary, or IPO)EdTech, K-12 sales, or public-sector customer environmentMulti-revenue-stream businesses (SaaS plus hardware)Familiarity with US state-tax nexus and sales-tax considerationsCompensation & location Target OTE up to USD 200,000 plus equityFully remote with required US-time-zone overlap; NYC travel a few times per year
