Job Summary:
We are looking for someone who has experience as aVM /DevOps. This position is responsible for planning & transitioning of classified and SBU legacy infrastructures to private clouds. Perform O&M of the private clouds post transition.
Responsibilities
Responsible for security scanning, mittigation and reporting.
Responsible for Storage Area Network (SAN) and Splunk requirements.
Install, configure and manage classified and SBU VMware virtualizationenvironments using Microsoft and VMware Suites of products
Provide Operation and Sustainment support for the virtualization environments
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for private cloud environments
Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with the private cloud environments and implements: cloud services support, cloud operations, and security of all private cloud operations both classified and SBU
Coordinates activities with other technical personnel as appropriate. Executes tasks defined in the cloud computing project plans, schedules, design, development, integration, securing, documentation and deployment of using best practices in cloud computing methodologies and standards
Assist in the discovery process by capturing legacy requirements that must be transitioned to the cloud environments.
Develop and implements functionality based on provided guidance and requirements for private cloud services
Establish and comply with organizational standards and frameworks in creating and maintaining private cloud environments
Participate and facilitate information exchange within organization stakeholders to ensure the project meets business and customer requirements
Provide input to transition functionality from legacy equipment to the organizations' private clouds.
Post development activities include Operations and Management (O&M) support.
Compliance with all CM processes and procedures as elements evolved from dev to test to prod.
Collect and provide data/metrics that support any required SLA, MOU and MOAs
Assesses the alignment of engineering design principles/trends with desired mission strategies and objectives, concept of operations, business processes, and technology standards
Coordinates with change management in collaboration with organizational cloud services governance
Serves as cloud service administrator and manages all cloud services with commitment to implementing best practices in optimization, quality assurance cloud architecture, design, engineering, testing and implementation
Monitors and manages cloud network operations and infrastructure services according to requirements specified in agreements with customer and stakeholders
Responsible for automating tasks associated with daily operations of an on premise classified cloud infrastructure.
Responsible for automating the migration of classified data to an on premise cloud infrastructure
Responsible for building and administering the virtual machine environment with in the classified and SBU infrastructures
Responsible for providing the daily administration of an on premise classified cloud infrastructure
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years IT/DevOps experience on Microsoft or VMware platform
Experience working with Microsoft or VMware platform.
4 years experience with Splunk HIGHLY desired.
United States Citizenship is required per contract requirements.
Extensive Microsoft or VMware Virtualization Experience - design, implement, and management
Demonstrated various operating systems Administration skills
Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call
Ability to do limited travel (0 - 4 times a year)
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Must have Secret clearance (or be able to obtain a Secret clearance).
Desired Qualifications:
Microsoft or VMware certifications
VCA Data Center (and/or Cloud) certification a plus
.Net experience a plus
Windows ##, RedHat and Ubuntu O/S experience a plus
Virtual platform network skills and demonstrated experience in a complex network a plus
Experience with various operating system versions on the Microsoft or VMware platform
Experience working in the Agile methodology
Experience working Application Development and Operations teams
PowerShell script or equivalent demonstrated experience
Experience with software development tools
Strong troubleshooting and conflict resolution skills
