Vice President Of Strategic Sales

Hearst Bay area is looking for a dynamic and innovative senior strategic sales leader to manage and grow its advertising sales revenue across the San Francisco Chronicles regional offices. You will work with sales team managers and directors to deliver and execute creative marketing strategies and campaigns, utilizing an audience:based approach.

Primary responsibilities:

Partner with CRO to help build annual revenue and expense budgets.

Establish monthly and quarterly strategies that map revenue goal achievement.

Manage the successful transition from a print:centric to multi:platform advertising

company

Help establish and maintain employee compensation/commission plans and

other sales incentive programs.

Monitor and analyze performance indicators such as revenue vs. plan

Anticipate and react quickly to trends and changes in performance.

Assists with complex sales negotiations, attend sales presentations as required,

and assist in closing complex deals.

Partner with Training and Talent Development organization to ensure teams are

equipped with the product, system and selling skills to be successful

Partner with Marketing to develop lead generation and revenue generating

programs and create high performing sales collateral

Regular and consistent meetings with sales directors and managers

Monitor and control departments expenses to stay within budget.

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements, Education

Must have 7:10 years experience in a sales leadership role within the media industry and at least 5 years in a selling role

A bachelors degree or equivalent experience

Must have experience successfully selling, managing and launching digital

advertising solutions

Demonstrated non:traditional revenue development or product launch success

Track record of consistent digital revenue growth

Experienced with channels and platforms to include digital, social, direct mail, video, and print Demonstrate outstanding leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and have expertise in selling strategies and methodologies, strategic planning and execution
