Ferrellgas is searching for a Vice President of Sales that will be responsible for overseeing a group of 75 Account Managers throughout the US, generating new business growth and maintaining existing customers and oversee all reporting and forecasting of quarterly and annual goals. In this newly created position, the VP of Sales will have the opportunity to build a professional selling organization with interaction from the Ferrellgas leadership team. The success of this position requires collaboration with Regional Vice Presidents and General Managers to ensure both sales and operations have aligned goals, objectives and budget targets.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for revenue generation in Service Centers within a wide geographic area
Manages Sales Directors and oversees Field Account Managers by facilitating access to resources, participating in sales campaigns, and contributing to sales strategy including:
Sales Force implementation
Sales training initiatives
Creates sales goals and GMD targets with Retail Operations Teams involvement
Responsible for the development of key sales metrics for growth and profitability
Analyzes various Sales reports and provides feedback and direction to team members
Provides sales leadership for all companywide customer related projects and sales division projects and works with RVPs and GMs to identify emerging markets and route density to gain operational efficiencies
Develops sales incentive and sales synergy programs across all business segments
Represents the sales perspective regarding key business initiatives to corporate project teams
Works cross:functionally with all departments to deliver against the needs of the sales team
Oversees the development, ongoing status and finalization of the sales budget
Manages internal support staff that assists the sales organization
Provides consistent communication to the sales team and the executive team regarding key initiatives and priorities
Acts as the sales leader regarding requests from retailers for SBT programs
Works with compensation to develop the sales commission/incentive program structure
Completes quarterly forecasts to ensure the company is on pace to hit budget
Assigns individual initiatives to each Director of Sales
Attends quarterly sales meetings with the Director of Sales to review all sales efforts and current individual initiatives
Monitors all DOS expenses to ensure they align with company policy
Works with Blue Rhino sales management to ensure consistent messaging across sales teams
Special sales project work or future sales initiatives as directed by the CSO
Experience:

Bachelors degree in business or management
7:10 years of working sales experience
Experience in sales organization and structure changes
Demonstrate strong ability to manage multiple priorities at one time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Prior experience with strategic planning and sales growth
Excellent problem:solving skills
Excellent analytical skills to conduct data analysis
Excellent supervisory and leadership skills
Organized with attention to detail
Use of Salesforce or CRM
Proficient Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
