McKonly & Asbury, founded in 1973, is one of Pennsylvania's most respected accounting and consulting firms. We are assisting our client who is a full service, integrated, marketing agency. Our client is in search of an experienced financial executive to operate in the capacity ofVice President, Finance, reporting to the President at their headquarters in the Central, PA area. Our client has a long track record of success, and over 20 million in annual revenue with over 130 team members across several entities and locations.
This role provides financial leadership to all functional areas, including tax and audit compliance, financial reporting and analysis, and serves as the company?s liaison with banks, insurance companies, accounting firms and government agencies. In addition, they will oversee periodic financial reports, maintain a comprehensive set of controls and budgets, and ensure that the organization complies with generally accepted accounting principles. Transactional oversight related to the general ledger, receivables, and payables is included. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience directing multiple accounting team members, and significant experience dealing with outside professionals within the organizations referenced above.
One of most important qualifications for the successful candidate will be demonstrated experience working as the senior financial professional within a medium sized business preferably in a professional services or similar privately owned company. It is expected that this role will provide the analytics to assist management in developing new service offerings, forecasting financial results, managing cash flow, identifying budget variances, and prioritizing appropriate actions to maintain profitability. Operational assistance will also be provided by this role to other business areas, including production utilization and human resources. Our client requires a minimum of a four-year degree in accounting or finance, a CPA or MBA is preferred though not required, and 7 years of industry experience, including at least 3 years in managing accounting staff. Expertise in enterprise level accounting packages and report writing tools will be needed. A track record of proven confidentiality and trustworthiness, and corresponding references is absolutely required.

While interactions occur with team members throughout the organization, executives direct their own work efforts and those of their team without the need for significant oversight. While some intermittent travel to other locations may be required, the large majority of the work week will be spent at the headquarters location.
