About Our Facility

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Birmingham began as two separate specialty practices - Veterinary Eye Care, founded in 1993 as a referral ophthalmology clinic, and Birmingham Veterinary Internal Medicine, established in 2005 to provide advanced internal medicine services.
Both hospitals became part of the BluePearl network in 2020.

In 2023, the two practices were combined, relocated, and expanded into a brand-new 10,000 sq ft hospital located just a few miles from downtown Birmingham, near the Galleria in Hoover, AL.
This new facility has allowed us to grow our services and provide enhanced, multidisciplinary care to pets across the region.
