Details of the offer

TheSystems Engineeris responsible for overseeing systems administration for Miami Valley Gaming’s Network, Private Network. Systems administration responsibilities will extend to any additional offsite facilities that tie into our networking infrastructure.

Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for providing advanced level support functions on all platforms including but not limited to: PC’s(XP, Window’s 7 & 8 ), Window Server, UNIX, VMWare, Linux, Document Management and Imaging Applications, and on all applications including but not limited to: LMS, CMS, EMS, Paychex, and JDE Applications, Cisco phone systems, Internal and External Networks.

Provide on-the-job work direction to other support staff and function as an assigned mentor and trainer.

Update and maintain the departmental documentation as needed.

Complete knowledge of host platform computer systems, telecommunications, operating systems,hardware, and software and help desk problem determination techniques.

Ensure daily checks are conducted on open issues and work them towards closure communicating andescalating issues as needed to corporate support and upper management.

Perform complex problem determination, resolution, and record all of trouble situations reported intothe Product System Support Group for all Miami Valley Gaming’s systems.

Perform advanced skill level functions on primary platform specialty (for support-related tasks), andintermediate skill level functions on secondary platform specialty (for support-related tasks).

Responsible for completing and documenting all assigned day-to-day tasks/activities per the ActivityLog for each system and shift.

Analyze system performance to ensure optimum system performance, and adjust system parametersaccordingly.

Report technical problems, system performance and problem resolutions to management and/orappropriate support personnel.

Perform all aspects of the gaming floor and back of house audio and video operations, expansion,upgrades and relocation.

Ensure timely and accurate work history entries.

Responsible for, or actively participates in, the initiation of personnel actions including but not limitedto: interviews, training, candidate selection, performance reviews, promotions, transfers anddisciplinary actions.

Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner.

Follows 4 Key Elements Universal Service Standards, Operational Service Standards, and SERVEexpectations at all times.

Performs duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff.

Performs any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position’s job description, where, in the Company’s judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service.
