Configuration Engineer Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Configuration Engineer for an opportunity in Minneapolis, MN. The Configuration Engineer develops, tests, implements, and supports both new and changes to existing eGRC technologies through a Software Development Life Cycle. You should have 2 years' experience with RSA Archer or similar eGRC products, a plus (e.g. Accelus, OpenPages, BWise, MetricStream). Develop a full understanding of how in-scope applications, utilities, and processes function; infrastructure, administration, user interface, etc. Strong analytical and critical thinking, problem solving skill set.

Qualifications:

The Application Configuration Engineer provides software configuration along with operational risk support for the organization's Enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance (eGRC) programs, primarily within the RSA Archer Smart Suite toolset. The right candidate will play a critical part in diagnosing issues, solving problems and configuring applications to enable business processes and activities. The Configuration Engineer develops, tests, implements, and supports both new and changes to existing eGRC technologies through a Software Development Life Cycle.

Job duties / responsibilities:

Manage daily workload to ensure assigned timelines are met
Manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Provide best in class customer support to internal teams and employees across the enterprise
Comply with all policy requirements surrounding Incident, Change and Problem Mgmt
Consult with customers to elicit, explain, translate and refine business/technical requirements
Research existing configuration architecture to understand current processes and functionality
Communicate technical information to non-technical individuals
Ensure timely completion of customers priority driven needs
Develop a full understanding of how in-scope applications, utilities, and processes function; infrastructure, administration, user interface, etc.
Document technical architectural designs and business logic solutions
Assist in the planning of design, build, test and implementation phases
Ensure alignment with development, implementation and performance standards
Participate in unit, integration and user acceptance testing
Utilize agile principles within planning, development, and communication
Provide consultation services to customers as well as internal team resources
Perform other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Five+ years of application configuration (or similar) experience
2 years experience with RSA Archer or similar eGRC products, a plus (e.g. Accelus, OpenPages, BWise, MetricStream)
Strong analytical and critical thinking, problem solving skill set
Extensive technical troubleshooting experience
Self-motivated, quick learner with exceptional time management
Excel at verbal and written communication
Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously; seamlessly multitask
Understanding of Operational Risk Programs, a plus
Advanced experience developing formulas in Microsoft Excel, a plus
Responsible for architecture, implementation and support of Windows based application and database servers.
Skills:

Performs all hardware and software installation and configuration for supported systems.
Performs system capacity planning and provides regularly scheduled detailed reporting.
Conducts performance monitoring and provides appropriate system tuning to guarantee responsive system performance.
Creates backup strategies to meet business data recovery needs and optimize system performance.
Develops and implements Server Disaster Recovery plans in accordance with Business Impact Analysis.
Documents configuration and maintenance procedures for supported systems.
Tests and deploys relevant software at most current and stable releases.
Knowledge of the following technologies: Windows, VMWare System Administration, Shell Scripting (Perl, KSH, SH, AWK, SED, etc.), TCP/IP, SNMP, NFS, NIS, RAID, and EMC.
