Survey Instrument Operator

GFY is seeking an Instrument Operator who is interested in being a part of an influential work environment. This position will assist the Crew Chief and operate instruments necessary while surveying to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, mining, or other purposes by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities: Operation of Electronic Data Collection equipment (Trimble preferred)Operate contemporary survey instruments with little supervision or trainingDuties may differ depending on the area or projectPerform a variety of routine tasks and work closely under supervisionPerform a variety of tasks in support of survey or engineering activities Experience and Qualifications: Valid driver's license and clean driving recordWilling to travel from time to timeExperience with Topographic Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Construction Layout, & GPS SurveysMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Able to work outdoors, in various weather and terrain conditionsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum 1-year experience Benefits: All qualifying employees receive benefits, including health and dental insurance, vision plan, personal time off, paid holidays, professional development including tuition reimbursement and community involvement.
