Duration: 6+ months

Job Description:
Five to seven years of demonstrated knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management and supplier performance management methodologies to procure indirect products and services as applied in the commercial sector.
· Experience in indirect spend categories such as IT, Meeting & Events, Contractor Labor, Professional Services, Travel, Insurance, Human Resources desired.
· Knowledge of commercial procurement methodologies as demonstrated by prior work experience.
· Ability to determine, develop and apply negotiation strategies that lead to favorable contract terms and conditions and improved pricing as demonstrated by prior work experience.
· Ability to be persuasive, negotiate, and collaborate with individuals at all levels inside and outside of the organization as demonstrated by prior work experience.
· Ability to lead people and foster collaborative skills and consensus building while operating in a fast-moving environment as demonstrated by prior work experience.
· Demonstrates deep knowledge of procurement systems, policies, day-to-day procurement operations, procurement procedures and performance metrics as demonstrated by prior work experience.
· Demonstrates (through prior work experience) deep knowledge of contractual terms and conditions and partners with legal counsel to deliver final negotiated documents
· Ability to use Microsoft Office tools at the master level (Excel, Word, Power Point) in the day-to-day essential duties of the job as demonstrated by prior work experience.
· Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse membership, employees and/or suppliers in a clear and precise manner as demonstrated by prior work experience.
· Ability to use Oracle’s E-Business Suite specifically iProcurement applications to perform job requirements as demonstrated by prior work experience.
· Ability to listen and interpret the customer’s needs to de-escalate difficult customer issues, while at the same time researching the issue and applying broad business and technical knowledge to meet the customer’s satisfaction as demonstrated by prior work experience.
· Ability to operate various office equipment such as personal computer, copier, printer, fax machine, and multiple line telephone as demonstrated by prior work experience.
· Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management (preferred), Business Management, Finance or similar degree required. Institute of Supply Management certification preferred.

Consultant for this position shall have the following responsibilities:
· Leads cross functional stakeholders and project team members through complex, multi-million dollar strategic sourcing initiatives from project initiation through implementation.
· Develops and executes strategic sourcing and category management strategies to achieve business goals and financial objectives.
· Employs cost saving and demand management strategies to deliver on financial metrics.
· Manages and tracks supplier performance to ensure key contract deliverables and performance standards are met.
· Authors and issues complex solicitations including RFI, RFP, RFQ documents to procure indirect products and services in compliance with department procedures and policies.
· Plans and executes communications strategies to ensure accurate and timely flow of information to internal stakeholders and to suppliers.
· Analyzes historical spend, business requirements and market data to develop and execute sourcing and negotiation strategies.
· Negotiates pricing, drafts and interprets contract terms and conditions to establish favorable purchase agreements including but not limited to Master Services Agreements, Statement of Works, Non-Disclosure Agreements and Technology Purchase Agreements.
· Partners with legal counsel to identify and negotiate contractual terms & conditions, and prepares final negotiated documents
· Develops assigned procurement policies and procedures
· Conducts supplier risk assessments and contract audits.
· Actively contributes to procure-to-pay system reviews and system recommendations.
