Position Overview:
The Strategic Business Analyst will support the Business Strategic Services team in the discovery, documentation, research, analysis, and activity tracking of technology solutions and services for County leadership and departmental stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct primary and secondary research for business cases and technology solutions
Analyze and document technology capabilities and business process improvements
Facilitate customer requirement gathering and journey mapping sessions
Create reports, dashboards, and performance visualizations
Develop and maintain process documentation such as swim lanes (As-Is & To-Be), technology inventories, and business architecture
Assist in developing business cases, including ROI and VOI calculations
Support creation of technical content for solicitations and RFPs
Create and manage workflows for intake processes and digital signature capture
Collaborate with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) for project hand-offs to relevant departments
Aid in the development of outcome-based dashboards and tracking systems
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience & Skills:
Research & Analytics:
Experience in technology research and analysis
Familiarity with creating dashboards, performance tracking tools, and data visualizations
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Visio, MS Project, and SharePoint preferred
Experience in facilitating requirement gathering sessions
Lead consulting experience with a major consulting firm (preferred)
Communication & Interpersonal:
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to translate technical concepts for executive-level audiences
Strong executive presence and stakeholder engagement skills
Organizational & Problem Solving:
Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Detail-oriented with high-quality work standards
Strong management and organizational skills
