Under general supervision, the supervisor oversees and coordinates that stewards on their shifts to ensure the cleanliness of the casino and public areas meet Oaklawn standards and Core Values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for providing guidance and daily supervision to staff in the department. Supports and administers operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager regarding any concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
Maintains established pars and inventory of supplies through daily monitoring.
Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures guest service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
Assists in work procedures and expedites workflow to all Stewards, to include floor operations, policies, and procedures.
Assists Steward Manager with administrative duties.
Ensures established departmental quality assurance procedures are acceptable according to Health Department and company standards.
Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within area of authority and reporting potential issues to management.
Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
Provides leadership and assistance to Steward Team.
Provides excellent internal and external guest services, treating internal and external guests with courtesy and consideration at all times.
Cooperates and communicates with all fellow team members, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image/attitude.
Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance.
Performs all duties in accordance with company core values, internal policies and procedures, as well, as applicable laws and gaming regulations
Makes efforts to keep informed of company information and communications by reviewing property bulletin boards, digital signage, and company newsletter.
Effectively communicates concerns and information to supervisor and listens to communication from supervisor.
Effectively relates ideas for improvements to supervisor and management in accordance with chain of command.
Observes and reports any and all unsafe behavior displayed by internal and external guests.
Maintains an attitude & philosophy consistent with the company Core Values and Standards of Behavior with internal & external guests
Regular Punctual Attendance
Ability to work required overtime
