DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS OF WORK:

This is a full:time position performing job duties with the Office of the State Attorney, Tenth Judicial Circuit, serving Polk, Hardee, and Highlands counties. The selected applicant will work at the State Attorneys Office in Sebring, with travel to branch offices as deemed necessary. For training purposes, the selected applicant will be required to travel to Bartow.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

An employee in this position will be responsible for providing technical assistance to internal users experiencing issues with various office equipment.

Work is performed under the general supervision of a high:level administrative employee and is reviewed through reports and conferences.

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES:

This is basic IT work performed under the immediate supervision of the IT Director. An employee in this position will provide Helpdesk support for approximately 25 users and assist with troubleshooting PCs, scanners, printers, copiers, wired and wireless network connectivity issues. The employee will assist with repositioning PC workstations and new office setups; configuring desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, organizing cables, and maintain asset inventory. The employee will assist with PC imaging and provide support to attorneys in the preparation of audio, video, and print media for courtroom presentations. Periodic travel to branch offices may be required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Ability to diagnose PC, printer, scanner, copier issues;
:
Familiarity with computer hardware, network printers, scanners, and Microsoft Windows 10;
:
A basic understanding of networking technologies;
:
Knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Audition, and Adobe Photoshop preferred
:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
:
Candidates with CompTIA A+ Certification is preferred
:
Attention to detail and following directions;
:
A high degree of self:motivation, commitment, and integrity;
:
Ability to effectively communicate with users;
:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others;

Strong verbal and written skills;

EDUCATION/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or equivalency with two (2) years of experience in computer operations

A+ certification is preferred
