Sr. Reporting Analyst
As a Senior Reporting Analyst, you will support the Finance area by performing statistical modeling and analysis of structured and unstructured data sets to develop metrics, reports, and visualizations of trends and patters. Additionally, you will get to filter and clean data by reviewing numerous sources of data and performance indicators and propose updates and fixes. Key Responsibilities:
Build reports, datasets, and queries of downstream engineering interfaces that are complete, accurate, timely, well-documented and suitable for Finance use cases
Work with technology organization and business end-users to understand data and analysis needs and develop technical requirements
Partner with development and data management roles to identify and capture data required from internal and external sources
Investigate and partner with engineering to address data quality and document requirement modifications
Build internal processes to reveal anomalies in Finance data sets
Automate ad-hoc data generation processes and tooling to reduce Finance data consumption and processing efforts
Scope and spec ETL pipelines that enable your reporting needs
Create and maintain statistical models for ongoing and ad hoc review and analysis of data
Use data visualization programs, tools and techniques to generate dashboards, reports and presentations that aid in data storytelling, understanding and interpretation of trends and patterns of business importance
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports
Develop and implement databases, data collection system, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases data systems.
Identify, analyze, interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Filter and clean data by reviewing data and performance indicators
Assist with code correction
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Develop professional expertise, apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Build productive internal/external working relationships
Receive general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
Other duties as assigned
Requirements / Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
Experience in software development, including a clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design and core programming concepts
3+ years of proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst, providing business users with the data they need
Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases, programming (SQL, ETL frameworks)
Fluent in SQL
Data Analytics
PowerBI
Excel
Big Data
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
In depth knowledge of relational and columnar SQL databases, including database design
Ability to manage projects and communicate cross-functionally
Deep understanding of Finance and Accounting Processes as they relate to data consumption
Knowledgeable of data modeling standards and industry best practices
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Ability to work in a highly dynamic and rapid development environment (Agile development experience)
Ability to adapt to a fast pace environment and multitask
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Telecom Billing and Supply chain domain knowledge, preferred
