The Amazon Business Supplier team is looking for a talented Senior Program Manager to manage our overall program portfolio. The charter of our organization is to develop innovative and compelling experiences for our suppliers (vendors and sellers). Our customers are challenging us to develop an Amazon-like shopping experience tailored for business purchasing and we?ll have to reinvent how an entire industry discovers and purchases products to do it. Our solutions include the software platform and applications that drive demand generation, customer acquisition, supplier integration, customer relationship management, business analytics, and the inventory and order management functions necessary for suppliers to manage their business online at Amazon.com. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the Amazon Business team that is responsible for building a successful multi-billion dollar Business-to-Business (B2B) marketplace for Amazon, from the ground up.
As the Senior Program Manager for Amazon Business Marketplace you'll be managing the regular status updates for our entire program portfolio to senior leadership. You will own determining how all changes in time/cost/scope affect dependencies and our plans as well as the recommendation of the action which should be taken. You will own the overall program communication and be at the center of it all. The Amazon Business initiatives are a combination new product development and agile iterative enhancements to recently launched capabilities. You're objective will be to raise the bar on delivering these capabilities for Amazon Business customers worldwide. This position is high visibility, requires a high level attention to detail and strong judgment; it also offers broad exposure to a vast cross-section of business and technical teams within Amazon.
You will partner with product management up front to bring metrics to the table, identify internal/external dependencies and establish priority of which initiatives should proceed and at what pace. You'll ensure the input and output metrics are solid so that we can look at the slew of prospective initiatives and decide what goes first. You'll own the framework and objective mechanism for prioritization and establish and champion that framework. In the middle you'll work with our technical program and engineering leadership to make sure we have a plan for building and resolving any issues that crop up. At the end of you'll ensure we're putting out a quality product that meets customer needs and expectations. As the ideal candidate you are well-organized, can manage many projects simultaneously, and are intellectually curious. You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, fluid business environment with shifting priorities all the while removing ambiguity and driving clarity of thought.
