The Sr. Manager of Customer and Access Insights identifies deep customer and healthcare market insights and translates them into effective growth strategies for Janssen?s Business Units. This role will be a key partner to the Strategic Customer Group (SCG) and our Business Units, informing and shaping critical payer, hospital, PBM, specialty pharmacy and related access business decisions through transformative insights, analysis and guidance. In close partnership with other functions within Commercial Excellence (CE), this individual will play a consultative role in identifying and establishing high impact strategies to enhance market access, patient services, pricing, contracting, and product distribution.

This high visibility role will drive significant cross-functional collaboration across Janssen to effectively analyze, communicate insights and influence strategy as the customer landscape evolves. S/He will identify and work with appropriate external, strategic partners to deliver and package data, analytics, and insights to support market access brand reviews and ongoing access trends. This role will reside within the Payer Provider Insights and Analytics team within Commercial Excellence.
Responsibilities include:

S/He will drive new insight generation for above brand initiatives and ongoing monitoring of critical market access events that could impact TA and critical brand growth.
Serves as the primary COE to Janssen businesses for access insights (i.e. market research and market access specific syndicated learnings) and effectively supports pull through of analytical tools that ultimately inform actionable learnings of Janssen?s payer, IDN and pharmacy customers.
Leads market access planning process for insights generation in coordination with brand leads across Janssen therapeutic areas.

Provides senior leadership with insights updates through a consultative approach ensuring timely, results oriented analytics and insights deliverables.
Identifies and manages appropriate external vendor relationships to ensure Janssen is leveraging the best and most innovative approaches to reach the right customer audiences.

B.A or B.S is required. Advanced degree such as MS/MBA/PhD preferred.
A minimum of 7 years of related business experience in pharma/life sciences, preferably in strategy, market research, insights and intelligence roles.
Hospital or health insurance related experience is a plus.
Consulting and/or internal client management and planning experience is preferred.
Able to influence and deliver exceptional presentations and impact briefs to senior management
Experience with pharma and managed markets primary research vendors and data sources (including IQVIA, Symphony Health, MMIT, DRG Managed Markets) is preferred.
Ability to analyze data using MS Excel is required.
SAS/SQL hands on experience is preferred.
Experience with patient-level longitudinal data, claims, formulary data is preferred.
Prior experience managing external vendors and associated budget is required.

This position is based in Titusville, NJ (preferred location) and there will consideration for the Horsham, PA campus and will require up to 20% domestic travel.
