How will you make an impact?
The Sr. Manager Continuous Manufacturing serves as the business development lead for the Continuous Manufacturing business for global our Pharma Services Group (PSG). This includes serving as a subject matter expert in support of management, strategy, and the commercial organization. This role can be based remotely in North America or at any of our DPD-NA site locations.
You will lead all business development activities within the continuous manufacturing business. This is an industry facing role that will lead strategic projects, assess new business opportunities, managing new business quotations, advising on the go to market strategy and advancing the technology by serving as an industry ?SME.? This role will also serve as a conduit between the operations team and the business management team for existing business.
What will you do?
Acts as the industry partner to all critical stakeholders with a primary focus on market opportunities with new business sales
Effectively engages with other leaders within PSG globally to achieve Continuous Manufacturing business and Group goals. Works with the continuous manufacturing team, corporate engineering, quality, operations, General Managers, commercial teams and site management teams as the industry SME for continuous manufacturing.
Leads all strategic projects for the business such as the pricing model development, own product development, quotes workbook, etc.
Manage all industry SME initiatives including publications, speaking engagements and other forms of thought leadership.
Assesses customer needs, proposes scientifically sound development pathways, seeks collaborative solutions, and translates requirements to quotations group.
Ensures proposed solutions are scientifically viable and meet the business needs of both customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Reviews final proposals to ensure consistency with customer requirement in Request for Proposals (RFPs).
Ensures site presentation is consistent with corporate marketing standards, updates frequently with current technical capabilities.
Leads customer site visits along with site SME?s and responsible for customer experience while on site, in partnership with the BDEs.
Identifies strategic opportunities with relevance to sterile product for capability enhancement to gain more proposal acceptance and business growth based on market and customer requests.
Evaluate, recommend, and liaise with industry and academic collaborative groups engaged in pharmaceutical continuous manufacturing.
Partner with continuous manufacturing operations team and the client services team to help manage existing business.
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

How will you get here?
Education/Experience:
Masters or PhD degree in chemical/mechanical/pharmaceutical engineering/science or related field
Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, 7+ years
PhD and 2+ years of productive, relevant work or postdoctoral experience or MS and 5+ years of productive, relevant work experience
Direct experience with continuous manufacturing (oral solid dose) preferred.
Applied experience in oral solid dose manufacturing, with expertise in continuous processing.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to work within and influence stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment
Proven ability to exercise sound judgement while problem solving in a complex and fast moving environment, bias for action and strong results
Strong strategic project management skills
Able to effectively present detailed technical information and respond to technical questions.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical business processes and equipment.
