The Small Groups Director provides ministry vision, support, and coordination of small groups, while ensuring alignment with global vision and values of Central Ministries.
Providing leadership of the day to day operations and development of the Small Groups infrastructure and Discipleship process, supervision, training and oversight for Group Leaders and Coaches.
Overseeing day-to-day operations related to Groups and Discipleship.
You are part of one team taking ownership and responsibility for the care and keeping of this house.
You stay willing and eager to serve in big and small ways, from welcoming guests to picking up trash.
RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO)Small GroupsServe as the primary point of contact for the Small Groups Ministry (written, electronic, verbal, and personal).Responsible for being the Discipleship champion at the campus level, working in tandem with Central Small Groups Ministry to execute vision and strategies while collaborating with Ministry leads.Serve as oversight for Ministry Leads in order that they are equipped with the communication, marketing, and resources needed to execute their respective ministry focus at the campus through small groups.Develop recruiting and communication strategies for small groups.Recruit and develop small group coaches to oversee training, meetings, and outreach.Ensure the processing and connection of all applications for small group leaders.Direct oversight of Campus One Step area.
Develop a team through "Hero Making" and Discover Victory collaborations.Establish and implement SOPs for Adult Ministries and develop a recruitment and training strategy for new team members.Regularly connect with and train Adult Ministries Team Leaders and members to cast vision and build relationships.Steward Adult Ministries Budget.Recruiting and training volunteers for small groups leadership.Assist as needed with biblical guidance, funerals, weddings, blessings and the campus ministry.Assist with weekend platform communication.DiscipleshipEnsure alignment with global discipleship philosophy and pathway.Collaborate with Connections Team regarding ministry to new believers and for water baptisms.Support Campus Pastor in initiatives surrounding staff and volunteer leadership development, weekend service pastoral support, and campus staff and volunteer leader meetings.Provide communication and agenda for monthly leader meetings.Provide care to congregants.COMPETENCIESBehavioral CompetenciesCollaborativeCompassionCreative thinkingDiscernmentDependabilityHighly RelationalIntegrityProblem solvingProactiveSpiritual MaturitySelf-InitiativeChurch & Business CompetenciesAbility to bring teams togetherCritical thinkingDetail orientedLeadershipInterpersonal SkillsMinistry ConsciousnessProficient in oral & written communicationProject ManagementOrganization skillsStrategy and planningSKILLS / QUALIFICATIONSWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management preferred.5+ years of experience in a pastoral role, supporting a high-level executive, serving church leadership, project management and/or customer relations.2+ years of public speaking/teaching experience.High level of discretion in dealing with confidential information.Ability to work in a fast paced, team campus environment.Flexible schedule (available for weekends and evenings).Reliable transportation to travel between campuses.COMPUTER / SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSProject Management software experience.Proficiency with Mac hardware and Office/Outlook software.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSAn acceptance of, and commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.An understanding of the mission and purpose of Victory Church.Acceptance and agreement of Victory Church's CHECK values and staff commitments.
