SUMMARY:TheSr. ManagerSales Engineerat SAC will provide pre-sales technical support for products & services as well as creates and integrates new and modified products and services throughout SAC. This individual is responsible for ensuring the success of the product/service in the market.
In this role, the Sr. Manager Sales Engineer will create formal business cases and product/service descriptions and work as a facilitator between the various internal organizations to ensure product/service practices and processes are negotiated, documented, and executed accurately. The Sales Engineer, Sr. Manager may need to develop pricing; pricing changes and manages cost targets for operational execution. He/She will pre-empt potential problems and provides effective solutions in reaction to the application of concepts, techniques, knowledge, or processes developed to support the new product/service or product/service change.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Serves customers by identifying their needs; engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services.
Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
Assists in establishing new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales call schedule.
Prepares cost estimate inputs by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents for the preparation of quotes and proposals by Bid and Proposal team; consulting with engineers and other professional and technical personnel.
Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.
Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.
Submits orders by conferring with technical support staff; costing engineering changes.
Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
8+ years of Related Sales Engineer Experience in Telecom.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail oriented. Excellent oral and written skills.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Working knowledge and understanding of the telecommunications industry.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
Strong PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
University or College degree in Engineering or equivalent,
Master?s Degree or MBA preferred
Minimum 8+ years product/service development
