Job Summary 13;
Responsible for daily clinical and operational activities of the Center for Rehabilitation across the continuum of care, including the inpatient acute care, inpatient rehab, Day Hospital and outpatient settings through activities of program planning and development, and quality monitoring and improvement. Participates in strategic and operational planning and execution. Employs, supervises, and develops staff; prepares budget recommendations; develops, implements, and monitors policies and procedures that support the hospitals mission.

Job Responsibilities 13;
:Directs center operations, driving efficient and effective patient services

:Develops center initiatives to promote and improve the patient and family experience, supporting enterprise:wide initiatives and exceeding enterprise targets
:Promotes a culture of quality and patient safety through innovative improvement initiatives while supporting the principles of a fair and just culture
:Manages scheduling and daily flow of patients through acute care, rehab, day hospital and outpatient venues
:Develops staffing levels and plans across all patient care venues, ensuring appropriate and timely access to rehab services
:Drives development of and compliance with center policies and procedures, as well as compliance with organizational policies and standards of accrediting agencies and regulatory bodies

:Promotes and ensures cost:effective fiscal management

:Drives programmatic growth, resulting in increased scale, volume and revenue
:Identifies and operationalizes expense reductions and improved efficiencies, resulting in cost:savings
:Develops annual cost:effective budgets, in support of organizational targets
:Strategically manages capital acquisitions for efficiencies, while driving technology expansion

:Directs the provision of family:centered, interdisciplinary, competency:based clinical services

:Develops and supervises Level IV Physical and Occupational Therapists, ensuring discipline:specific line:of:sight clinical oversight
:Oversees the recruitment, coaching, development and retention of qualified and clinically:competent staff
:Leads the development and maintenance of patient care guidelines using evidence:based practice, benchmarking and quality improvement initiatives
:Ensures staff competency and growth through high:quality, relevant, discipline:specific continuing education opportunities

:Provides for clinical research and academic activities

:Develops and promotes programmatic growth through research and academic affiliations
:Provides and oversees a clinical affiliation and teaching program for occupational and physical therapy students
:Promotes post:graduate education and training through partnership with the LEND Program, as well as other discipline:specific training opportunities
:Grows and supports clinically:based research activities, through networking and grant application opportunities

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations 13;

BLS : Basic Life Support

Required Education and Experience 13;

Required Education: Bachelors Degree

Required Experience: Five (5) years of progressive management experience in a healthcare system.

Preferred Education, Experience and Cert/Lic 13;

Preferred Education: Masters Degree

Preferred Experience: Experience in a leadership role in a rehabilitation setting and/or an academic medical center.

Additional Technical Requirements 13;
High level of analytical skill in order to work independently to identify and plan for the resolution of problems encountered in clinical and operations duties.
Licensure or certification in allied or rehabilitation health area preferred.
Fundamental research skills including a general understanding of research methodology, design, and statistics.
