Summary: In the context of a rapidly evolving payer environment, Seattle Genetics is an emerging multi:product global oncology company. With a strong commitment to demonstrate product value to the healthcare system, we are building a sophisticated reimbursement and pricing capability to support optimal market access. The Global Market Access team, within the Global Value Access and Pricing (GVA and P) function, is a team committed to excellence in this capability in order to position Seattle Genetics for continued success.

This global team is responsible for the strategic planning of value and access for oncology molecules in development, beginning in Phase I:II and extending throughout commercialization across the Seattle Genetics portfolio. This work also includes lifecycle planning and access strategy for our current brand, Adcetris. Additionally, the team is responsible for global strategic pricing, including recommendations for global price bands and launch sequence. Each Access Plan integrates coverage and reimbursement, pricing, value evidence, and policy into the development of a strategic plan that supports the overarching commercial position and links to the clinical attributes of the molecule. This plan elucidates and communicates the global strategies and tactics to secure and maintain access throughout the life cycle of a specific molecule.

The Sr. Manager, US Payer Marketing is accountable for the development and implementation of key payer initiatives across the portfolio that are focused on securing access for Seattle Genetics products with both commercial and government payers. This role will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of specific promotional activities and tactics, including facilitating vendor contracts and overseeing the payer marketing project budget, as well as managing supporting efforts including account and field:based market access training. These efforts will require cross:functional coordination with the Market Access, US Marketing, Sales, Managed Markets, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, and external customers. This role will also lead the development and promotional review process for payer marketing tactics and programs and ensure alignment with overall market access and commercial strategy.

The Sr. Manager, US Payer Marketing will report to the Director, Market Access. This position is located at the Seattle Genetics Headquarters in Bothell, Washington.

Responsibilities:

Support U.S. market access strategies which includes identification of key market issues and opportunities, critical success factors and brand strategies, key tactical programs and payer product positioning and messaging
Work collaboratively with Advocacy, Managed Markets, and Sales and Marketing to ensure alignment on strategy and implementation of pull through programs
Support commercialization launch strategy which includes identification of key market issues and opportunities, critical success factors and market access strategies, and key tactical programs
Identify market research needs, align on market research plans and translate findings into access strategies
Partner in the development of the annual access plan, including identification of key issues and opportunities, strategies and critical success factors, tactical initiatives, and budget
Evaluate market access performance against budget to ensure a cost:effective allocation of resources and appropriate management reporting
Select and manage all vendors/agencies successfully and effectively
Ensures that all actions, and those of the team, both internally and through vendors working on our behalf, are in compliance with all laws, regulations, policies and demonstrate Company values
Requirements:

Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Business, scientific or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred
5+ years of market access, managed markets, or account management experience in a U.S. pharmaceutical o
